Armourcoat finishes add sustainable architectural design elements to walls and ceilings of heritage building in London’s Clerkenwell district.
Cutting-edge commercial interior design
At the heart of Clerkenwell—an international hub for design—the newly refurbished Brunner showroom offers a refined backdrop for its progressive, multifunctional workspace solutions.
Set within a three-storey Victorian warehouse, a building with a rich history as both a brewery and a cinema, the showroom is designed to foster a hospitality-led experience. Vaulted bays frame contemporary workspace vignettes while creating more intimate areas for meetings and presentations.
To seamlessly unite the building’s industrial heritage with a forward-thinking aesthetic, Brunner collaborated with Armourcoat to introduce a combination of Acoustic Plaster, Polished Plaster, and Cast Panels—enhancing both the design and wellbeing of those using the space.
Acoustic Plaster, applied to the curved ceilings, absorbs sound, reducing reverberation and creating a calm, welcoming environment. Polished Plaster in Granite finish brings an organic, tactile quality—its raw, textured surface subtly contrasting with smooth, polished areas to achieve the effect of natural stone.
Further refining the scheme, Sculptural Plaster Cast Panels in Corinth introduce a bold linear design. With finely contoured scallops and flattened peaks, the panels evoke the look of honed concrete, adding depth and sophistication to the showroom’s material palette.
